How accurate are controllers??

Hey lads!..Back again for more advice!:D

So I've had Traktor Scratch Duo for a few weeks now, using it with 2 CDJ 1000's and one problem I've got is the accuracy of the pitch fader!
When trying to match 2 tracks I end up with the Traktor fader taking off on its own!:mad:I dont think its a problem with the software or settings , but it just doesnt have the same accuracy of the CDJ's alone.
So what I was wondering is...How accurate are controllers (meaning delay between controller and pc and the % of the pitch fader) in conjunction with Traktor? I dont know anyone with a controller that I can try....so I figured ye might have more experience between ye?:)

    Thanks anyway!

You can adjust the pitch range in most software(including Traktor IIRC).

Delay should be barely noticeable, like a few milliseconds. If its not then you've got an underpowered machine or incorrect setttings.

I had a similar problem with serato because of a dodgy set of phono cables. It could be that the timecode signal is not reaching the interface perfectly in which case all matter of oddities can start happening.

It could be the laptop actually, anytime I move the fader I can never get it to stop where I want it, without wrestling with it for a few seconds (too many). It always goes too far in either direction!!
