Any HP / Compaq nx6125 or similar owners in Waterford City?

Just recently i ran into an issue with my laptop.

When i would plug it in and power it up it would start for a few seconds, turn off and keep on repeating.

When i powered it on with the battery it would start fine and then i would plug in the power.

I left it run last and forgot to plug in the power :(, so the battery is dead and as such i cannot start it.

i am doing a course at the minute and all my stuff is on the laptop .


So is there anyone who would let me charge my battery on their laptop so i can use mine again?

It is a laptop that takes this type of battery (398680-001)

I have a HP laptop but I live in dublin,

The chager on my laptop has a broken cable, I have to mess with the cable to get it to charge my laptop.
Do you have a multimeter to test your charger.

Did you try charging with the laptop turned off.

I have another HP laptop (different battery) and it charges just fine with the charger.

I think it is the laptop itself.

I have dropped it in to a guy who will check it out

Hi moonboy52,

If it's any use to you i have an nx6125 that i recently replaced the battery in so i have a spare working battery (it holds a charge for 10-15 mins) that i can charge up for you and you can have for free if you want to collect.

Living in Knocktopher about half way between kilkenny/waterford (exit 10 on the new motorway).

If you are interested let me know and i can arrange with you.

I am still waiting to hear from the repair center.

Hopefully they will have fixed it and if not i will get back to you
