Whenever I lose signal it pops up saying "Chosen Network lost, dismiss/settings"

It's so annoying! Is there any way of making it stop doing it?

pop up blocker on cydia, but it will stop all pop ups like low battery etc

It's because you have your network set to manual not automatic. Settings > carrier > automatic

I set it to auto there...hopefully this works!

Sorry for the thread bump, but I've got the exact same problem and have 'automatic' ticked. I'm presuming there's no new settings in an update to stop notifications like this? It's mainly annoying when I'm on the train going through tunnels, the popup keeps getting in the way.

If ticking Automatic under Carrier settings doesn't sort it you could try resetting network Settings - this has done the trick for some people

    Settings
    General
    Reset
    Reset Network Settings

You will however have to re-enter your wireless network details/ key(s) afterwards

Actually, sorry, re-reading the OP it's not the exact same :o

It's 'your selected cellular network is no longer available' meaning I don't have a cell signal. I can't see that reset having an effect, whatcha think?

There's no way to 100% prevent the 'your selected cellular network is no longer available' message from appearing when you have a poor signal but changing the carrier settings to Automatic reduces the number of times it appears.

I know you have ticked automatic already in Carrier Settings but sometimes resetting the Network settings helps, particularly when, as in your case, automatic is ticked and it's still happening - its worth a shot - it can't do any harm.

Only other alternative is to jailbreak and use a popup blocker.

Cool, might do that, cheers mate :)

Although, it might just be a case of choosing airplane mode on journeys. Decisions decisions!

Mine hasn't popped up once since it changed. When I selected automatic, I waited for the optional carriers to appear in the list (takes a min for the list to appear) then I chose Automatic. Maybe try that

Good stuff, it really is the most annoying thing when you're having a good game of Doodle Jump and this crap pops in your way!!
