Both are nice bikes and come in relativly high in spec. If it was me I would go for the felt. Wouldn't buy anything from Halfords. Nothing wrong with the bike but the people in there no nothing about them and can be very unhelpful.

Its just a matter of time before someone on here mentions Planet X or Canyon. Both will probably give you better bang for your buck.

I agree with Lashed. Both good bikes but at least have a look at the Planet-X with SRAM Red. Review of Ultegra version here.

cool, thanks, Ill have a look now.

I was looking at the Felt z85, which apprears to be the same bike as the Z6 , only with an alu frame. The bike only weighs 500g more, and is 500 euro cheaper...is there anything I'm missing?

There's a company in athlone selling them. Bought of them myself last month. Contact details are on Planet x website

Bought SL Pro Carbon with SRAM Rival for €1250 would have cost about €1340 online with delivery and the few small upgrades on it. They do a quick bike fitting and you have a place to bring bike back to have checked over in a month or two. Delighted with it really don't think I could have got better value for what I spent. Just wish this snow and Ice would bugger of so I could get out on it again.

Just to add the Felt Z6 has a more relaxed geometry all the others would be more out and out racers.
