Man who with long hair, where to get a haircut in Dublin city centre?

I'm looking for somewhere that'll do a good job so I won't look ridiculous. I basically need somewhere that's not a barber cos I'm afraid they'll just get scissors happy on me. I need a place where they'll charge less than 20 Euro and I won't be the only man who ever went in there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps you could go to grammar school first, but seriously, you can try Robert Chambers on Grafton street or if you are in the Rathmines area, you could give John Adams in the Swan center a try, I use them and they are great

Have to disagree with the above. When I had long hair barbers didn't have a clue what to do and more often the not refused to even try for fear of leaving me unhappy. Barbers do short cuts, they are very good at short cuts, it's what they have trained and studied and practiced.

I just had to ask around till I found someone who would look after my hair for me. Through talking with other long haired men and more importantly talking to hairdressers I eventually settled on a couple of dressers.

OP, go into hairdressers and ask them questions. You don't have to get your hair cut then and there. Ask them if they have experience, if they know the cut you are after, what they charge. Then when you have asked a half dozen or so you can make your choices.
