Just wondering if anyone here has any experience traveling with Etihad to Australia - specifically if anyone has used the power supply in the seat? Seat Guru suggests it uses Empower while the Etihad website has this image:

I am hoping to be able to use my laptop for a large portion of the flight. Incidentally, if anyone has more information re. the USB port connectivity to the entertainment system, this would also be appreciated!

    Thx

    B

    Howdy,

I'm travelling to Oz at xmas and checked the Etihad flights on seat guru. My flight (EY42 + EY454) shows "AC Power" and not "EmPower"?

The picture you have shown would agree with the description of the AC Power output.
    • US non-polarized 2-blade plug (both blades are the same size)
    • US polarized 2-blade plug (one blade is bigger than the other)
    • US non-polarized 2-blade plug with Ground (aka three-prong)
    • European standard 2-cylindrical prong plug (two round prongs)

I would chance your standard charger (for the 1st flight at least) and if needs be, purchase an EmPower adaptor in the airport during your transfer?
