When I very occasionally get out walking with my partner we bring our radios with us just in case. I remember seeing somewhere that there is a specific frequency that is supposed to be used by hillwalkers, does anybody know this frequency? or is it not something that is commonly used?

When I very occasionally get out walking with my partner we bring our radios with us just in case.

I remember seeing somewhere that there is a specific frequency that is supposed to be used by hillwalkers, does anybody know this frequency? or is it not something that is commonly used?

Is it not chanel 8? Its used as calling chanel so it will be the best go.
