Looking about an Amp for xmas €100

    Hey guys!

I've took to learning the guitar these past few weeks, my uncle has been a great help and has supplied me with an Aslin Dane Electric guitar and a Aria AG-10 AMP. Im not good at the technical side of music and I;m wondering what do you guys(if you have any experience with it) think of the AG-10, it looks like it's been around a few years, so I'm not sure how it holds up with stuff out today.

Do any of you know of any Amps that would be better? Around the €100 mark would be nice. I see the Roland Cube 15w is seemingly a very good buy, but I can stretch my money for something more if there is something better at my price range.

    Thanks! :)

It may not be worth "upgrading" just yet, especially at that budget. If that amp works at all i'd be inclined to keep it and use it as a practise amp. Then when you improve and want to upgrade, save up the cash and get an amp worth upgrading to.

Alright I hear you! In the future though what kind budget would you think I should aim for? I wouldn't need some professional thing, but a good reliable one would be nice.

ATM I'm using an electric and an Acoustic.

if you're still intrested in getting a upgrade, i would advise on going on to thomann.de and ordering one of these
    http://www.thomann.de/ie/peavey_solo_eguitar.htm
    or these
    http://www.thomann.de/ie/roland_cube_15xl.htm
both are good modelling amps(the roland has had good reviews) and are for under or round €85
shipping is gen €15 so could cost bout full €100
or you could check if there is a cash converters or a shop like them near ya, they normally get in amps like these and sell em for bout half their rrp price, if ya don't mind the odd small dent or scratch(only if there is one) in the body yer laughing, just be sure to do some research first on review sites and test before you buy

Vox Mini 3 is a terrific amp at 99 euro, with a line in for playing electro acoustic, as well as electric amp models

I'd vouch for the Cube 15 too, I use it for home practice but there's a great sound off it! Plenty to play around with! Well worth the money you pay for it!

Hello guys! I still kept up the Guitar anyway and intend to keep doing so. But it's come for the time to get myself an Amp and Electric guitar, I don't trust the uncles old stuff hehe. and I'd like to get my own.

Considering these Guitars and Amps, unless anyone still recommends the Cube thingy.

FENDER SQUIER BULLET STRAT HSS RW BK
    or
    COST X1 BK

My friend who is an Avid player says go with the Cort but the reviews don't seem as favorable as the Fender. And I think they do for the Fender, I also think it sounds better on the sound clip previews. But the tunes are different. So I wonder what the Cort would sound like playing the same thing.

    For the Amps.
    Fender Mustang I
    Gets good reviews.

    Second option.
    Line6 Spider IV15.
Friend says he had this and it relied too much on effects to get a good sound.

I have a budget of about €250 for both. Anyone have any advice, these are merely the ones I've seen so far and liked, so feel free to make other suggestions too.

1 requirement is the guitar must have a whamy bar. Also a purty looking one would be nice :o

Also doesn't have to be a small Amp dimension wise I got plenty of room.

I say this to absolutely everyone, and its great advice so il offer it to you also.

Please, PLEASE go check out a yamaha pacifica and a micro cube.

Is all you need for all styles of music and just 22 euro over your budget brand new.

    http://www.thomann.de/ie/yamaha_pacifica_012dbm.htm

Hell scratch that, if space isnt an issue you could get the regular cube instead of the micro one and be only 12 euro past your budget:

I think the Pacifica is a good way to go.

The Fender Mustang 1 would also be a very solid choice. Either that or the Microcube, which has a well established following here.

    Thomann Creative Bundle #243 EUR
    1 piece(s) 152333 YAMAHA PACIFICA 012DBM
    1 piece(s) 254109 ROLAND CUBE-15XL

Ok that Cube is impressive :)

    255 EUR total.

That's not too bad, a bit over budget, but I trust you guys and so far that's what I'm settled on, I'll give it till the end of the day to see if any more suggestions come in. Please if any more though, don't go higher on the price. That is as stretched as I can go.

I liked the 20XL Cube too so I did. So if there's a Guitar for cheaper that's just as good I could look at uping the Cube amp.

Thanks a mill so far guys! I appreciate it.

I agree great choice on the guitar, best bang for your buck. No first hand knowledge on the amp but people seem to love them
