Hey just looking for some advice.

We are a young group looking to go away for the aul typical 2 weeker to Spain this summer. Only thing is we don't want some rough kip full of scum but not really a quiet place either. Somewhere with some clubs and pubs and the like but also not too rough, we've just heard so many horror stories of crime in Spain etc.

It's just there's such a long list of different resorts and we don't know much about any of them. Also we are on a budget to an extent

Anyone have any suggestions? Oh and we're a group of about 10-15 17-19 year-olds.

    Thanks!

Hey! i did the whole goin to spain thing with my friends too, there was 13 of us at least and we went to santa ponsa majorca (a small spainish island). I also went to the barcelona on mainland spain with college....it was cool and all that but very dodgy, a girl got robed at knife point, sum rather creepy dodgy people, and pick pocketers eeeverywer. I was ur age wen i went to both these places and to be honest santa ponsa was ssooo much more fun, we got a hotel just a few mins from the capital palma (wer all the nightclubs, pubs, shopping etc is), so we cud share a taxi cab in, there wasnt much other young ppl in the hotel apart from us but it was grand bcoz we wer in such a big group. Im not sure wat the islands like now though think it mite be a bit rough, stick together and ud b fine and hav fun though. Hope this helps...its just an opinion point of view plus it depends urself wat ur goin for etc etc :D

Cheers thanks, I'll definitely check it out. Dangerousness seems to be our main worry, but as you said I think with a lot of those places you're ok if you stick together and watch out.

If you are looking for a "rough kip full of scum" then Santa Ponsa is exactly that!

Santa Ponsa is on the island of magaluf and it is rough rough rough.
    "Ballymun in the sun"

    Avoid at all costs!

Santa Ponsa is ok but pretty small, if I were you I would check out Ayia Napa in Cyprus amazing place

    I recommend Crete.....its brilliant.
Hersonnisos is very busy and mainly Irish, Malia is the same but mainly English, between the two of them is Stalis, quieter than both of the others but still has good nite life, and if ye fancy it ye can go into either of the other two resorts for the night, both are less than 5 mins in a taxi away
