Renting house to the council question

    Hi Folks,

I am hoping someone has experience of these situations and can help me.

I am in the process of renting my house to the council and they require my banks consent as I have a mortgage on the property.

The bank are willing to agree to the let, however requested a clause added to the lease, which allows the bank to throw out the tenants if they have to reposes the house. (a reasonable request I thought?).

however, the council do not amend their lease, ever.

So, now I dont know what to do, I have employed a solicitor to see if they can find a way to do this with the bank, but was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this situation and how they got around it.
    Thanks
