Horde is a great film. Simple, fun, effective.

Carriers isn't great. I didn't feel enough was explained; I don't expect to be spoonfed a story but I always feel that bit cheated when the circumstances are left to your imagination.

Diary of the Dead is a bit poo. But watchable.

    Deadgirl was a great film!

Watched the Devils Playground a few nights ago. Worthwhile.

Sorry I have to strongly disagree with you over Carriers, in fairness to the story there wasn't much to explain, killer virus wipes out nearly everyone while we follow a group of survivors trying to escape from it all. The lack of detail and back story added to the story IMO since I would imagine that is what it would be like as communications began to break down and all that you had to rely on are vague rumours and fuzzy information concerning the outbreak.
As a story it was suitably bleak with the characters forced to make some pretty amoral decisions in order to survive:
The group abandoning the father and daughter to certain death in the empty town, Chris Pines character ditching his infected girlfriend at the gas station in the middle of nowhere and the murder of the the little old ladies for petrol, pretty grim stuff

Its not an action movie by any stretch but a fairly decent character driven story showing the hard choices that would have to made in order to make it through it all.
