Up in Blanch today and saw the signs up, closing at start of Jan, was chatting to one of the lads inside, told me it was because of the rent. Looks like they have a few things on to mark the closing. Just in case anyone interested!

Sad to see anywhere close down but it means 1 less compeditor for Martin at Gamers World :)

To be Fair. That place was mostly Kids who couldn't commute to Martins for the Dublin 15 area.

Sad to see it go. Tis always good to have a Gateway into gaming into in a shopping center.

I've been going there for like 11 years, ever since I was 8, 'tis fairly sad news as far as I'm concerned

I am no huge fan of the GW 'machine', but still sad to see it go, served a lot of the younger gamer very well over the past few years and imagine it will be missed. I still drop in when going past, the lads are decent once you know what to expect and how to deal with the constant sales pitches.

Pity about this. I'm not really into GW but often bought paint, tools and materials there because it's handier for me to get to rather than go into the city centre and look for parking.

I was in there yesterday and it was the first time ever that no member of staff approached offering to help me

GW is a profitable company still I'm sure. You never know they may just relocate it to a better location in Dublin or even open one outside of Dublin. I doubt the head office will just let it die.

My very first intro game was played and starter paint set was bought there though *sniff* I've kind of drifted away from the modelling and gameplay side of things (pity given the buttload of minis I have in my wardrobe) but I still pop in to the Dublin one for a nerdy chat. Oh and I'm also a certified Black Library addict. I just can't get enough of the 40k universe- in book form anyway.

I bought GorkaMorka in there on the cheap during their opening sale way back when. :) Shame to see it go.
