    Do these files have viruses?

One of them is just general stuff like "break your work into chapters" and the other is Elmore Leonard's Ten Rules for Writing.

Ran anti virus scan before posting, could have copied and pasted but they are a bit long.

    Can delete if mods wish

I don't mean to get at the OP, but I have to say I'm pretty tired of these "authors advice" lists. Almost without exception they are so generic and obvious that they add nothing to a writer's toolset.

"Turn off the internet when you are trying to write"
    "Read books"
    "Back up your work regularly"

Has anybody ever actually gotten something useful from these lists?
