It is possible to cancel a checked bag with Aer Lingus?

My friend has booked a bag in for an Aer Lingus flight, but now doesn't need to take the bag any more.

Is it possible to cancel the bag and get a refund? I assume it's not, couldn't find anything about it on their website.

    Thanks.

I don't believe bag fees are refundable.

Definitely no refund. But your friend can still check in online, select zero bags (forfeiting the one paid for) and go straight to security. No need to stop by at the bag drop-off desk and inform them that the bag will not be needed.
