    I am currently doing my leaving cert and i was just what the procedure is in applying for accommodation etc..... and when i should apply ??

    You can apply to Trinity Hall as a Junior Freshman once you've received an offer of a place from TCD. This page covers most things:http://www.wardentrinityhall.tcdlife.ie/rooms/

    just to clarify, i dont have to reserve a place in advance and only apply if i get an offer

    Exactly. Until you get an offer to study at TCD, don't worry about it.

    thanks, just for other place like galway i think it's different! On a lighter note is Trinity/Dublin a nice place, would you recommend?

    100% yes, its that simple. And if you are lucky enough to get Halls for next year you will be absolutely sorted. I'm in final year now and my biggest regret of my time in TCD was not applying before 1st year started. Loads of my mates lived in Halls and they all made so many mates much more quickly then any of the rest of us unlucky sods did.
