Dublin City Council waste collection

    Hi, anyone know what the story is with household waste tagged bin bag collection in Ranelagh...just moved here and cant find any info online on the dublin waste/dublin council website and i havent been able to get through when I phone either.. I live on the main street in the village and i got one of the tags in the post office but am not sure when or how frequently the rubbish is collected.. any info greatly appreciated..cheers

    We don't have any direct neighbours. Everyone else near us has skips and wheelie bins. Thats why I'm asking here.

    Ye, as i said they don't seem to like answering their phones. I was hoping that someone from the ranelagh area might know what the story is. I'll try and email them but I'll probably be kept waiting for a response.

    I found this info. on the website:

    There is also a calendar. If you type in your street name, then your collection day will come up.

    As far as I know, they collect every week, one week it's the normal rubbish, then alternate weeks it's the green bin/brown bin week. It's every week where I live anyway.

    If you just check what day your neighbours are leaving out their bins, if you don't feel like asking them. That's what I do, if I can't remember what week is black bin/green bin/brown bin week.
