Anyone know where I could buy a Floyd Rose or licensed by Floyd Rose trem in Dublin? Ringing around here but music shops must be up the walls with xmas shopping because they're not bloody answering

Unlikely the stores would stock them. Maybe a big store like Xmusic, although i was never in it.

And there is a big difference between a licenced Floyd and the real thing.
eBay would be the best place to look, but this close to xmas would be a problem for postage. I recently got a Gotoh Floyd (made in Germany) for just over €100.

The Gotoh one is actually exactly what I'm after but I don't expect to find one in town. I'd also love to get a ping one but not sure if they are sold outside of the US. Where did you get the Gotoh one?

Great value too. That is the same i bought, same seller too.

Just fitted it last night to a ESP LTD MH-301.

Hmmm, looks like it will be the new year before I get it so! Did you get stung by customs?
I'm replacing the stock one on a Japanese Jackson, the existing one is brutal and broken in so many places that it's now un-usable :(
I'd love to swap it out for a fixed bridge tbh but there doesn't seem to be many options that don't involve blocking up the cavity from the Floyd Rose..

Kahler do a fixed version with a plate to cover the cavity and then the Kahler Hybrid as the bridge that can be locked or left to float.

Anyway, customs were at lunch when my package filtered through.;)
Tax on that would only be €30, so it would still be a steal really. Most people online these days say that the Gotoh is now superior to the Original Floyd made by Schaller.

Cheers, did not know about the Kahler fixed trem, must look into that as it sounds exactly like what I'm after.

The plate to cover the cavity.

And the bridge, around €130 + shipping for one.
