Retired and back to work question

    Hi
    Hope somebody can help with this one.
    My dad was made redundant in April 2009.
    He is 72 and claiming the pension.
    His former employer has asked him to return to work part time.
    Do any of the measures in the budget affect this situation?

    would he not be better leaving that opening for someone who is unemployed ( younger ) and who has less ( unconditional ) support from the state
