No length at all really. Clubs dont need to be broken in, nor even the swinger broken in to the clubs. An outing to the driving range, and a couple of rounds on your home course to get used to the distances is all that is necessary. After that, if they arent doing the business, they're the wrong clubs for you or more likely your swing is at fault and no clubs changes will make a difference.

Did you get fitted in foregolf? Think i remember you mentioning on some thread about possibly going there, was wondering how it went?

Yep that was me. I got fitted there on Friday. Absolute credit to themselves!! Really really impressed and learnt alot of interesting stuff! Cant wait for the clubs now!

Are you thinking of going there yourself?

kate i also went to fore golf for my new clubs. even though i knew the clubs were perfect for me and i had total faith in dereks choice for me, it still took me about 8 weeks to play well with them. at times i was tempted to stick in one or two of my old clubs to help me out, but resisted ! i just had to keep saying it will come right. and eventually it did. enjoy them. nice time of the year to be breaking them in with no worries about point ones back :D

Ye there will always be the temptation to stick one in, if im not playing great!
Do you mind me asking how many shots you have dropped since gettin your new clubs? And ye exactly at least I wil be able to get used to them over the winter and know my yardages etc.

sadly kate i went the wrong way and got a shot back, off 12 now. however i cant blame it on my clubs, i went to peices when i got them and got 2 point ones back weekly for a good few weeks. they soon add up. i just could nt get my swing going with the irons. happy to report all is well now so fingers crossed for the loss in shots come the spring. best of luck. enjoy them.

Got a new driver which i have say has improved my driving big time so matter getting used to the irons now.. hopefully.. AS you said we have the winter to try and get used to them all going well.
