:confused:Just wondering lads what u think of this idea us hunters/shooters swap days shooting with each other i just think it would be a great way of us all to hunt new ground forge new friendships and just have a change of view all for free.
ie i bring harry dick or tom to where i shoot 1 day and i go to their here place the next an so on.......just throwing it out there lads o see what u think?:D

The problem is some guys have lots of good ground and others don't, so if you invite me to your 3 million acre mountainous estate where I can't walk a tenth of it in a long day and it's beautiful and brimming over with deer and game, well, I'm going to feel like a complete pillock when I bring you to my few hundred acres of scraggy mountain where you likely won't even see a deer in the two hours it takes you to stalk the whole thing. And you're not going to be too impressed either. Nice idea though, and if I had something worth offering, I'd definitely be interested.

i dont think it matters what land u have or dont have its just a change of sceanery more than anything u dont need massive bags of pheasant or duck or to shoot 5 deer in a morning o have a good day to see your dogs work an pick up a bird or to along the way surely thats what its all about isnt it:)

Oh aye, but, well, when someone invites you out, you like to be able to offer them something at least as good in return. :)

the idea is good but in truth I dont see it ever happening, people are very protective right now of lands etc especially with the ever growing problem of poaching and the rising price in venison etc. The last thing they will want to do is open up the truth of their lands good or bad for others to view.

All that said I wouldnt mind doing it for a change and seeing how others stalk their lands etc.

    its a great idea.

i'v bin doing it for a while now with no roles or expectations and it has worked out a treat.
and i have made a couple of good friendships and shooting partners along the way.
i have brought a couple of lads out shooting with me and had very good days out on the mountain and equally so i have had great days shooting with other lads.
    i highly recommend it

Not just deer. I have plenty of posts up here of foxing and bunny bashing.
I would have had loads of pics of pheasant rough shooting but my bitch got knocked up and now I'm just waiting for the weather ban to be lifted so I can catch some of the season.
