Grand vitara, high mileage?

Hi, just wondering if anyone would have any advice. Looking to change from a petrol saloon car to a 1.9td vitara. Only problem is the vitara has 130000 km on the clock. I've been assured by a few people that for a td engine this isn't a huge deal but would like the insight of some people who might know a bit more about cars.
So would you change over? Is the vitara with that much mileage going to cause me more problems then it solves?

    Appreciate the responses

Another question from a prospective GV owner, if you don't mind - is the 1.6 petrol capable of hauling the 3dr around, or is a diesel the only way to go?

130,000 kms isn't much on any car if it has been looked after reasonably well.

bought my first GV with 100k (miles) on the clock and sold it a year later with 152... No Bother..

Bought the current one in September with 147 and it seems to be fine. Mind you this is a weekend car and has only done 1500 miles in the last 3 months. Both 99 T/D's.

I also had a 1.6 petrol (93) which was a zippy little thing but I wouldn't fancy travelling in her too far.
