Med-1 & prescriptions bought in the North

    Hi,

I'm aware that any medicines bought with a doctor's prescription is eligible for tax relief via the Med-1 form. If I was in (for example) Derry to pick up my prescription, would the amount I paid for my medicine in Derry also be eligible for relief?

I was trying to determine from the Revenue site about this: it states that medication bought with a doctor's prescription is eligible for tax relief but didn't state that it only applies to prescriptions purchased in the Republic of Ireland.

    Just wondering!

Doesn't have to be Ireland-purchased, based on my experience. I submitted a US-receipt once.
