The conspiracy theory conspiracy

Is there a conspiracy to make all other conspiracy theories appear 'fruitcake material' in an attemp to mask the fact that most conspiracy theories are indeed probably true. Does anyone believe Governments would employ people to infultrate the media with the intent of influencing peoples minds on these subjects. If they were on here who would you say they were?
Will this very conspiracy be dealt with by the 'anti conspiracy people'?

I'll answer your question with a question, the answer to both are the same.....

Does a shark sh!t in the sea?

Well me being a conspiracy nut, I never take things at face value, so the people I'd be most suspicious of are the one's who appear on my side of the fence, yet in reality it's the opposite.
So I'd say you are a govt agent Quasar2010, simply because you are trying to deflect suspicion, BrownBomber's a mossad agent, MahatmaCoat is an Ozzy agent provocateur, Torax is an illuminati grandmaster, WakeUp is asleep, TalkieWalkie (RIP:() was a high ranking freemason, Mysterious was Mysterious;), a few others I havent got sussed yet, yekahs is confused, not sure what path to take, the rest of the lads are just ordinary joe soap's.

Yea probably the same way as all the rest, ridicule, denial, lizardry and tinfoil hats.

So I'd say you are a govt agent Quasar2010
Does the job pay well? Do I get free dental and a pension?.....and finally - can I be James Bond and have a nice car?

    Do you suspect yourself then?

Yea it's great, flash cars, trips(to Edgewood,Frank Olsen), women, you want it you got it just sign the dotted line.....................................................
    quasar2010 wrote: »

No, I'm the only person I trust.

But seriously I'd say there's one or two dis-info agents like to hang around here, at least if they are agent's that goes some way to explaining the reaon they come here.

The person I would suspect wouldn't be the ones that object to CT's, it would be the one that goes to extremes in order to rubbish a thread.
For example, if someone creates a thread about who shot JFK, watch out for the dude that says it was Elvis that shot him or the guy thats posts pages and pages of BS in order to scramble your mind.

Well if you were to back through all the threads here, you would soon notice a certain few hell bent on ruining some good threads, but it's part and parcel of this subject.
Some people have a protective/denial bubble that they will not allow to be burst no matter what and will fight like a cornered dog to ensure they dont have to venture out of it.
Some have more sinister motives, and it's more Lizards than Elvis.

Hope you weren't taking me serious back there buddy ;), but yes, I believe there are people who always associate any CT with nut jobs, but thats through ignorance and stupidity mostly, then theres the pro's, a different breed.

In a conspiracy theory forum everyone could be suspect :D
I have suspected briefly some people who have posted about lizards for example as possibly being part of the dis-info industry.Hard to tell really, most likely they are just easily lead to a belief. On the other hand they could be trying to make the CT world look ridiculous and have mainstreamers believe everything lumped in with the lizard theories is just as reliable.
I dont suspect the "skeptics" as much. The ones i could think of i view as just being against anything that is posted here fullstop and are on ignore for me anyway for the most part.

As for being a grandmaster that would be an interesting turn up :P i might put Grandmaster Torakx in my sig lol or am i saying that because i am a grandmaster and i want people to negate the idea.Or did i say that because i know your thinking i will say that already...

I am a bit skeptical to assume that there are nationally established and budgeted anti-conspiracy police per se. More than likely most conspiracies emerge out of government incompetence, and those responsible attempt to cover-up their mistakes with ad hoc personnel before the next election, sometimes creating a bigger mess in the process of doing so.

gov wouldn't need to hire people to do that.

2: No questioning the Conspiracy Theory or looking for back-up/evidence.

Pretty funny what you consider ruining a thread imo

Well in general I'd say that groups do employ propagandists to steer or stunt discussion in the online world. I doubt this place is seen as important enough to place such 'agents', but I remember reading about a group of people vandalising articles on Wiki in an attempt to stifle any negative comment in relation to their 'interests'.

In regards to an anti-CT conspiracy, I don't think such a thing exists but there's no doubt whatsoever that people will throw up all sorts of unrelated muck when attempting to argue against something which they see as conspirational. It happens everywhere.. start a thread in say AH about the possibility of intelligent life existing elsewhere in the universe and it's almost guaranteed that some genius will mention reptilian overlords or Jim Corr's latest video as a way of demeaning the very subject.. is that part of a conspiracy? No.. it's just idiocy. Personally I think of anyone that views all theories as being 'fruitcake material' just because many theories are, as idiots.

I highly doubt there would be anyone on a payroll posting here. Politics at a huge stretch but what you do have IMO is people on both sides repeating whatever their pied-piper has said. On the one hand you have the overly cynical JREF types who are religously and militiliaristically opposed to any kind of alternative opinions and on the other you have people led by the likes of Rense, Jones, and Icke with their obvious mix of disinfo and semi-truth.

Icke automatically discredits himself with the lizard stuff, Rense with his UFO's, cryptozoology and the like and Jones and his loose change buddies with their easily refutable lies and scaremongering.

    All on someones payroll imo.

What your left with is the JREFers debunking lizards when there are very real conspiracies happening. In the last two days I've read that an Afghan drug lord is on the CIA payroll and today that the CIA helped protect a Nazi murderer.

Yea because theres plenty of eggheads that "try" do it for free.

I'd consider any post I've seen here by yourself a waste of space, the crap I've quoted being a prime example.

What is the purpose of your post?, looking to raise a bit of agro?

I just think it's funny you consider anyone that points out how a CT isn't true to be ruining the thread. Bizarre really. Do you really need to believe in them that much?

Bizarre? No. Because that's not the reality of the situation.

    This is ruining a thread.

    OP
Is there a conspiracy to make all other conspiracy theories appear 'fruitcake material'

Slyly alluding that "all" CT's are "fruitcake material" in a CT forum. Looking for a reaction, you get one and then complain about getting one.

Bizarre? No. Because that's not the reality of the situation.

Of course it is. He gets upset any time someone points out the flaws in a conspiracy theory; so much so he specifically went out and created a thread where they couldn't be questioned and evidence couldn't be sought. Hardly the markers of someone who's seeking "the truth" is it?

Is that why you come on CT forum? To upset people?
They have professionals to assist with that behaviour.

    Just letting you know.

I found good link for you phantom_lord on answerbag.

Why do some people enjoy upsetting other people?

    I especially like the answer:

Because it makes them feel powerful when they are really just pathetic. :D

No, and don't see why you came to that conclusion from my post. I'm honestly just really curious how people come to believe so strongly about the things posted in this forum despite all the evidence that disproves them. It's fascinating.

I mean you stuck your fingers in your ears and stormed off out of the thread about the FED when it was shown that it's not actually a big banking conspiracy.

No, I did not "storm off" and this illustrates again your real reason for posting in CT.

You're not interested in having a discussion based on facts, you just want to dictate your own beliefs and then smear anyone who disagrees with you.

later10 and anonymous1987 are miseducated about economics and the purpose of the FED, as are you.

I have little time for these games.
Perhaps you have the luxury of sitting at home amusing yourself arguing about a subject you're not really interested in, but I don't.

Huh? I'm very interested in having discussions based on facts, that's usually what I debate about, and it's usually what upsets uprising2.

Strange though, this coming from you considering you said something along the line of "I know it's private and that's that" and refused to engage on the thread any more. I asked you a couple of questions a number of times and I don't think you answered them.

Funny, I actually study economics, and based on your statements about the FED understand that much better than you too.

I think that perhaps the 'standard' conspircacy theories (moon landings, chem trails, 9/11 etc) may be thought up and promoted by some shadowy organisation to make the public take their eyes off what is really happening in front of them in plain view. It's at least as likely...

This thread has gone on long enough. No need for it to continue. It didn't start too well, and has gone rapidly downhill since then.

If someone feels they have a valid non personal contribution to make, please PM me and we can discuss re-opening it.
