could anyone explain this to me? this is from last years paper. my notes on the subject make no sense. thanks! my answer to A: 200(0.4) = 80 therefore the crate weighs 280N/cos30 = F?

(1) draw out a free body diagram: (a) normal force up, (b) weight down, (c) friction in opposite direction of motion, and (d) the applied Force at an angle

(2) Note: the minimum Force is when the sum of the forces is zero.

(3) resolve forces in the x and the y.

(4) sum the forces in the x and sum the forces in the y.

(5) solve
