Not sure when Ski Sunday starts up again, but looks like there is quite a bit of stuff on Eurosport most evenings at the moment. Today it seems to be bobsleigh, skelton, luge World Cup from Park City, Utah, USA.

Program on until 1am tonight by the looks of it.

only on in the evening cause they are in states at the moment, now that alpine has moved back to europe the races are mostly on in the morning, they seem to repeat most stuff in evening though.

i wonder will ski sunday be back at all, it was cut so much last year you never know...

For the 2011 season, as of 5 December 2010 the BBC has not updated the Ski Sunday section of its website with any information about when the series will start.
    :(

I actually quite liked the High Altitude version of the show that they tried the last couple of years, but think that may have messed up their format a bit and they didn't quite recover the viewers last year when they switched back to the previous format more.

I preferred High Altitude too. Although I like watching downhill etc. I liked the fact High Altitude took in a broader range of winter activities. It wasn't the same old stuff every week.

yeah, such a pity they got rid of it. Their coverage of racing was pretty poor last year and trying to cram in some small segments that used to go in High Altitude never really worked...

Just looked at BBC website, Ski Sunday is back 16th Jan with Wengen d/h...

Looks like there is some crashes due in the Italian DH they are now showing a repeat of on Eurosport 2. Program just started, and the first shot was of someone landing backwards after a jump.

I was hoping for so much more after a start to the program like that. :D

is it bad watching and hoping for a big crash???;)

    Nope.

Just had the USA 1 bob crash at Lake Placid so track hold on.

They have just played a montage of crashes going back over the years to fill the time. Right after the crash montage the commentator comes back on and says "So if you want to try your hand at bob sleigh then contact the UK bob federation blah blah blah". :D

Some pretty scary crashes, and a good crash in the skiing is good to see as well. But then part of the fun in doing these sports is knowing that there is a risk to it and so getting the adreneline rush.

Was that the mistimed jump on the camel humps?

You gotta love Eurosport for their coverage of winter sports. My OH is going nuts as every time she leaves the room I jump to channel 423 or 425 on the UPC box. There's nearly always some form of winter sports on at the moment.

Looking forward to Ski Sunday starting back. I really enjoy the show. it will be interesting to see what format it is in this year.

Got some crazy skinny people jumping off a slope in Innsbruck on Eurosport today. Doubt they will be doing anything exciting like crashing though, you never know. The stopping area actually looks pretty hairy on the hill they are jumping on today.

There is some slalom about to start from Munich with two people racing at the same time down the slope.

Eurosport UK has an excellent and very comprehensive line up of winter sports, particularly at the weekend. They cover all the sports such as downhill/slalom/ski-cross, all the XC variants, ski jumping and the bob etc etc. The BBC narrowly focus on the downhill & slalom styles.

I only caught up with the last couple of weeks of Ski Sunday last night. Not too bad although I still want to see more different stuff.

Will be looking forward to the Hahnenkam next week. :D

Extreme(ntl channel 422, sky 419) has had a few Snow related shows on recently. Ride Guide and Ski patrol are 2 that I have watched when off work sick, there on during the day so you might want to record them.

edit = just found the website. http://tvguide.extreme.com/tv_guide.php

I thought Miller had it, but that is a massive lead that Cuche has. They won't be happy with another Swiss win. :D

Just been watching a replay of the mens skeleton and the presentation of the top three at the end, rather than a useless bunch of flowers they get given a VERY large beer each for the interview. Looked like the winner was given a couple of liters of beer to drink.

Think this is from last year, but same bloke won, and same sized beers:
