Cars over 10 years old have to go for NCT every 2 years right? So a car advertised now as having NCT until 02/13 is a mistake surely?

Not necessarily, if the nct is done in advance of it's due date it could have slightly longer than 2 years. Mine was done dec 2009 but doesn't expire until jan 2012. So a car done this month might well not be due again till beginning 2013

I understood that cars over 10yrs old must undergo nct every year now..can ne1 confirm this. Bear in mind their website may not be up to speed with this if I'm right.

it must have just passed, you are can do the nct up to 3 months before it expires, giving you 25 months in total,

If a car hasn't been previously NCT tested it's possible to have it tested 6 months before it's due date. If it has been previously tested it's possible to have it tested again 3 months before it's due date.
