Just got a Wacom Bamboo One tablet because it was really inexpensive on iBood (Internet Buy Of The Day).. and after using it for about an hour.. I don't understand how I've ever been able to stand using Photoshop.. a lot of things are just *SO* much simpler.. and this is just a cheap hobbyist one..there are others that are meant for professional photographers that cost 5 times as much that must just be crazy nice to use. =O I'm floored.. just stunned.. at how awesome a graphics tablet is.

Has anyone used a "real" graphics tablet with Photoshop on here?

I have the Wacom Bamboo tablet like yourself.

I have used the Intuous 4 tablet which we have in college and it's so sensitive. I'd love to use a proper cintiq tablet which has the display on it.

    I'm happy with my bamboo

I have started to look into these my self. My just got intuso 4 and it is pretty sweet. Took a while to get used to, still not quite there but I can really see the pro's of using one.

whats the difference between the bamboo and the intuso does any one know?

The Bamboo line seem to be more for hobbyists and the Intuos line for professionals. They do more, have higher resolution both in the number of dots across the pad itself, and the levels of pressure sensitivity.
Some of the Intuos models even have a display built into the tablet itself, so you're using the stylus from the tablet directly on the image. Those are pretty sweet..but a lot more money. I guess some of those even let you work wireless, so you can do everything right from the tablet from as far as 100 feet from the computer it's mated to. Crazy stuff!

I have had a 50euro Trust mini pad before. It was ok but I ground the pad out of it just dragging the pen in. Plus batteries suck.

I bought an Inutos4 and will never use another pad again, if it breaks ill buy another one. No battery in the magical pen, short key buttons are easily programmable and obviously all the sensitivity it has....

BUT, i only ever, EVER use 1 level of sensitivity, I control what kind of levels I want using the software Im painting with or whatever. I basically paint traditional but just in PS instead cause I dont have room to paint!

Here's my dev art, all the paintings like the star wars stuff is done in PS using the intuos and only 1 level of pressure is active.

I've been using the Intuos 3 for a good while now on my workstation machine. I love it. Sometimes on my laptop when I try to do anything in photoshop I get stumped, a lot, and very easily too. I don't think I could do without the pen now.
