    RANT No.1
Listening to Damien Kiberd on Newstalk to-day.
He had a story on Cuffe who is currently on a jolly attending a conference in Cancun. He gave a speech and in the speech he said that Ireland had lived up to its part of commiting €10million in 2010 to some fund on Green issue. When a member of ESRI came on Damien asked him a) what was it for and basically the answer was to fund consultants to comission reports and b) what would we get in return for this €10million and the answer was zero.nada.zilch
So here we are going begging bowl in hand and these clowns are pissing away €10million. I know €10million isnt a whole lot in the grand scheme but 10 mill here and 10 mill there hey!!!!!

I am starting to get the impression that they are not going to pull the plug in Jan. They seem to be making plans for another few months. Surely they canr be that brazen to have lied.

The Greens will go back on their word, they won't force an election in Jan. In the long run that may be a good thing, as it will hopefully further decimate their vote.

I made the same prediction on the day that the Chameleons talked about a January 2011 election. Now that Biffo has got the budget well on its way and the IMF/EU loan/bailout is out in the open its time again to put on bravado and delay an election. Anyone who believed them in the first place was foolish. They will try and hang on now for as long as possible. In fact the less said about them the better.

I am begining to think it was a ploy to stop/quiten any ploy to bring into the courts the other 2 outstanding bye-elections or are they in the court process already

Senator Paudie Coffey, who is Fine Gael’s designated candidate for the by-election whenever it takes place, gave the government formal notice this afternoon of his intention to bring proceedings, while the party’s Dublin South chairman Michael van Turnhout will lodge similar proceedings in his own constituency.

Don'T know whether they followed through with the court proceedings, said they would.

That is the wisest thing to do as the only way to get them out may be to get new TD's elected in the remaining bye-elections, as waiting for the Greens or Biffo is not a wise option.

Why not. They told us in 2007 that they would not go into coalition with Fianna Fail. That was a lie.

The point of the fund is to support low carbon development in poorer countries.

The last thing the world, including Ireland, needs is for developing countries to do what we did and release massive amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions while raising their standards of living.
