My father is looking for one of these, 10KW - 12KW. Any recommendations taking into consideration after-sales, spares, purchasing spare parts etc.

Any recommended suppliers? (Nationwide as it will be delivered)

I was told of a Kalor brand, anyone heard of them. Cheers.

    My tuppence worth................

We bought two wood pellet stoves 4 years ago, one a room heater (Sideros) and one to do the central heating (Lucrezia Idro). The room heater blasts out the heat (its in a sunroom off a kitchen and the combined area of these two rooms is approx 24ft x 26ft). When its going full blast, we open the door to heat the bedroom end of the house as its that good at heating. However the guy we bought it off was a fly by night merchant who provided no back up whatsoever (despite him being on the registered SEI list). We've had trouble with it in the past but so far I've managed to keep it running, and like I said, when it works, its great at heating the house even in the recent cold spell.

The other one on the otherhand has never been good at heating the rads and we've decided to replace it with another room heater (we have an oil boiler installed now to do the central heating).

My advice would be to only deal with someone who's been selling these stoves for a number of years now as there are a lot of cowboys out there who jumped on the "bandwagon" to make a quick buck but didn't want to know when it came to aftersales service.

I'll pm you the names of a good supplier and one to avoid from my experience of dealing with them.
