Additional Point for Sky

We've had Sky for years, 2 boxes, one in the living room and one in TV room. We also had a connection in the kitchen which came from the TV room and allowed us to change channels with the magic eye.

A few months back I stupidly cancelled our sky subscription and went to UPC, biggest mistake ever, anyway I've got out of that contract and gone back to Sky. The problem is however that when we got a UPC box in the kitchen they appear to have cut the Sky cable, would I need to get a Sky installer out to re-connect or is it something I could do myself?

If you're not sure you're probably better of getting an installer. I can recommend Finlay's, they installed Sky for me last week.

All you need to do is run a cable from the dish to the TV point. Running a new cable (not rejoining) would be best.

That was potentially criminal damage as the cable etc was needed for FTA Satellite. Unlike UPC, you, not Sky own the gear and unlike UPC which has NO free channels the majortiy viewed channels are free on Satellite. You still get them without a sub.
