Because Bad Santa wasn't a bad enough guy, we bring you sinister Santa!

Suffice to say it looks absolutely bonkers! Might be good, might be crap. But hey, it's certainly different from your standard Xmas fare.

I watched it on a plane the other day, and odd is indeed the optimum word!

Very strange film, even stranger because they play it straight most of the time. Overall, it comes across as a funny satire of horror and action films in general, but they don't play is quite as silly as you'd expect! It's a good alternate to the Christmas movies we all know and love, but I'm not sure if I liked it. I did enjoy it once I got use to the unusual tone, but it's bizarre twist on the Santa Clause story does provide some pleasant surprises and giggles. Yet the whole thing is so consistently mental it is hard to make up your mind on it. Definitely worth a watch, although nigh on impossible to decide whether I liked the damn thing!

I expected a lot more from the ending.

    Massive Spoiler ahead:
When they introduce the giant frozen Santa I was waiting for it to go on a rampage which never happened.

    Still fairly enjoyable though.

Once again I totally agree with Johnny Ultimate's opinion on a film.

Couldn't decide if I liked it didn't. Saw on RT that it got 90%. Definitely not worth that. But I did like some things about the film.

Funnily, I actually thought the super sharp digital picture did it more harm than good. Couldn't warm to that at all. Didn't feel like a movie, more like a Canadia daytime cheesy tv show or something weird like that.

The acting was good though. The Dad played a prick very well.

    I must say
the 'epilogue' with the Santa factory
probably pushed it a bit too far in my eyes. Black Sheep is the film I'd compare it with: similar ludicrous concept that doesn't go for an out and out absurdist tone, albeit with some sheep loving :pac:

Saw it yesterday and thought it was great, odd as hell ,funny and totally different. Have a look at the two short films Rare Exports about 10mins each before going.
