    Hey there,

I want to start a make up ITEC course in the New Year but all I can seem to find are ones that have already started, does anyone know if any start in the new year or if these courses only run once a year?

    Really appreciate any help!

I'm in the north Dublin area but would travel into town or south side:)

I spoke to a nice girl inthe international make up place on abbey st, there's a starter course in jan but isn't an itec one. She said that the qualification wasn't important, it's about building your portfolio, anyone have advice?

    Hi,

I have been where you are and have shared your frustration at getting a course that starts sooner rather than later.
A list of those running ITEC courses by location is on the ITEC website ttp://www.itecworld.co.uk/colleges/.

Course prices can vary from college to college and there can be additional costs so be sure to ask what materials you will need to buy before and during the course.

I hope this helps, Best of Luck! :)

I just started an ITEC one www.makeupfablicious.com and as far as I know they start new ones a few times a year. It is important to have the qualification....was speaking to a girl in the class today who has LOADS of experience and the only reason she is doing the course is to get the qualifications.

Be prepared to spens a lot of money on building you kit though if you do go down the make up path!!

I'm really enjoying it but it's very intensive!!

very expensive altogether, have my name on the fas one for a while but you could be waiting a very long time so really want to get it done in the new year if possible.

I think the girl (who was very nice) was just trying to get me on the next course regardless of it not being an ITEC one so I'll keep looking around and hopefully get one sorted for Jan if possible, but if it's a very expensive one may have to wait a few months!

Yeah unfortunatly most mua courses are very expensive or have long waiting lists. I'm doing mine on Dame St

I was very lucky....i won my place on the course by submitting a photo of my work in a competition :D

I just booked one today in Beauty Academy in Drogheda that begins in March. Every Sunday for 8 weeks certificate in Make up artistry. Its 950euro and I paid a deposit of 300 over the phone and the rest has to be paid before class date. I know there is one starting in February in Dame Street with Make up Fablicious. It is 900 euro and you pay 300 euro deposit and the remainder in 2 monthly instalments. Maybe if you live in Dublin this one would suit but Drogheda not too far either if your in North Dublin. They are both ITEC accredited.

Thank you both defo will look out for competitions or discounts to try do it on the cheap and will try find more courses, Drogheda is too far for me though! Pity! Trying to get prices off L.A. Make up but think they'll be far too much for my budget!

Ok Portobello have a course at 882 euro with optional ITEC exam at the end, seems very reasonable. L.A. Make up have Module 3 which looks amazing but it's 3,500 which is crazy money I can't really justify.

Can anyone who's completed courses recommend where to try or where is worth the money? I'd be worried Portobello wouldn't be good simply because of the cheaper price!!

    Help!:)
