m16 to m4 conversion

    Hi all, I've a Dboys m16 SPR and I'm just a bit sick of the length of it so I want to convert it into an m4. Really just swapping out the outer barrel and handguard, and then maybe a crane stock when I have the money. (I know I'll need one of the ones that stores the battery and a nunchuck style battery to go with it) I'd much prefer the shorter outer barrel (10.5 inch I think?) with 14mm threads as I have a silencer I want to use.

    I'm not picky between buying from a shop or buying second hand but I just want to know what brands would be compatible? I've tried my friend's CA sportsline front end and it doesn't work so I don't want to spend money on something that isn't going to work.

    Any questions please ask and any help is appreciated as always.

    any of the hong kong sites (ebay banned, rsov ect) have dboys front ends for little money, but if your shortening the inner barrel length you may have to change the spring in the gearbox as you may find yourself with a "hot" gun.

    Yeah I was looking at ebaybanned but would it have to be a Dboys set as I can only find the long set by Dboys? As for the hot gun thing my plan is to have the barrel I have running into the silencer.

    I had a thought... conversion by trade... Sell the m16 and buy myself a g&g raider! :D
