Sending a Contact as a text to an Iphone??

    Hi Guys, I cant receive contacts to my iphone 3gs from other peoples phones even when they send them as a text. Any ideas why? I don’t think I have to have mobile data on as its only a text. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    surely that would mean you cant receive texts at all???

    i have an iphone, my friends dont, so when they as me for sombodies number i copy it and paste it into a text messege, then they get it perfect.

    just tell whoever is sending it to you, to send it as part of the SMS.

    I presume you mean you cant receive business cards?

    iPhones can't accept business cards from other phones.

    Whether its sent as an SMS/via bluetooth etc.. doesnt matter, no matter what way its sent the iphone cant understand it. Just tell whoever is sending it to copy the number into a text message rather than 'Send by sms'

    I'm guessing they're sending it from a Nokia phone and it's a Nokia proprietary thing or some such. I've only ever seen it on Nokias, but that's more to do with my only owning Nokias or iPhones...
