    Hi ALL

Just need advice on what I should be done on my 2007 Toyota Corolla 1.4 D-4D NG it has 89K klm on clock. I was looking at the normal

    Air filter
    Oil Filter
    Oil
    Fuel Filter

    Check brakes, Tyres and usual

Is there anything else i should have checked or changed?

    Thanks

Is there a timing belt on these ? 60K miles may be approaching the change time.

Change it for a less dull car maybe:D?

Seriously OP, all it needs is a major service, the same as it does every 30k km(and a minor one every 15k km). Just because it's hit 90k km doesn't mean it needs extra TLC. Toyota dealers are usually well priced for servicing so just take it to a decent garage and they'll look after it.

The vast majority of Toyotas have timing chains(certainly all the VVTi petrols have chains) but I have this weird feeling that the 1.4 D4D is one of the few Toyota engines that still has a timing belt; if it does then that will probably need to be done too, belts usually have a lifespan of 60k miles/90k km.

Change the pollen filter, its located behind the glove compartment, probably still the original in it and full of mank.

I asked the Toyota dealer service department the last time is was in there and they said it was a chain.

Earlier 2.0 D-4Ds had a timing belt but the 1.4 D-4D always had a chain

Changing the pollen filter is part and parcel of the major service with any modern Toyota.

The OP shouldn't have to ask a main dealer to do this, although it is worth ensuring that it is done(some garages may take a short cut), as the a/c will no longer smell and do a much better job of defogging the car/preventing the car from misting up in the wet with a nice clean pollen filter:)!

Is the smell just down to the pollen filter, or does the A/C need to recharged/regassed/whatever the term is?

Hi folks, what's the correct oil for a 2007 1.4 D4D? How much should it take for an oil change?

    Thanks a million!

Mine is 5w30 it takes 4.6 liters and I get at main dealer 5 liters for around €36.

Castrol site good for spec and amount http://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/c/search

    Gives 2007 1.4 D4D as 5W-30 and takes 4.3 litres.
