    Hi Folks.

A quick question for you all,

Thinking of moving our oil tank to a new location under some decking to free up space in the shed. This would mean that the tank would be below the level of the boiler so gravity feed will not work (I assume).

Can this be done by installing a wee pump on the oil feed and pumping it to the boiler. Is there such a pump manufactured?

    thanks

I don't think it will comply with regulations under a deck, but if the burner is below the level of the oil tank you can use a Tiger Loop or a two pipe system in either case the pump on the oil burner will pump the oil.

Firstly, apologies to all for my misspelled title - which I cannot seem to change!

Plombier, thanks for the reply - I assume that the regulations you refer to are building regulations - might be a stupid question but have you any idea where I might find such regulations - specifically referring to oil tank locations.

    cheers

local council might be able to help with regs

as above, a 2 pipe system or tigerloop would work (tho it depends on how high but by sounds of things it will still be within range)
