High Heels for High Arches..?

Hi! So I went to a local shoe shop today and tried on a few pairs of heels. Nothing would fit me properly. The lady working there informed me that I have very high arches (which I guess I already knew)..so that's probably why I can never find heels any bit comfortable. There is always a big gap between my foot and the shoe.

Anyone here with higher than usual arches and know of a brand that do, er, higher arched shoes? :/ I'm also exactly a size 5 1/2..which is also a pain..as nowhere does half sizes! Grr. Thanks!

I don't really understand what you mean by there's a gap between your foot and the shoe. Would a pair of shoe boots or lace up boots make any difference? If I get your issue, it's that a court style shoe wouldn't fit your foot properly as the gap is between your sole and the shoe.

Don't know if this relevant but my sister has the opposite problem (flat feet/no arches) and she wears a specially molded insert with an arch to support her feet. Consider going to a chiropodist who could probably do the same for you. I know from my sister's experience if the problem is ignored the issue isn't just discomfort when wearing shoes but can cause lasting damage to your knees and posture.
