Athens - can it be used outside the library?

    I am a former UCD student who has just joined as an external UCD reader in the library. I will be getting an Athens password, but am wondering if anyone can tell me if I can access Athens on my computer at home outside UCD?

    The one word reply came across as snappier than I meant! You should be able to get into all the journals etc. Though Athens is used less than in the past. A lot of journals now just automatically connect.

    Presuming it's Jstor you want to log in to?

    If so then when click 'Alternative Login' and ti will redirect you to Athens, from where you can select University College Dublin and enter your UCD Connect details ;)
