Applying for National Insurance number

    just wondering what the procedure is for applying for a National Insurance number in the north, i currently live in the south but have been applying for alot of work up north, do i need a northern address my brother lives in the north so i could use his address:confused:

    hiya - i used a UK address but also blocked my phone number when i was ringing from the south. if you ring job centre plus you can make an appointment. if you are lucky it does not take that long to get one. i know from personal experience tho that it is easier if you have a letter from an employer saying you have a job. however, i would be straight up with them - afaik its really only a formality if your irish.
