Save DVR Recordings to External Source

Apologies if this has been covered - I can't find anything with a search. If I have a recorded program on my UPC digital box, is it possible to save this to different source - external HDD, DVD etc?

Easy enough. But you'll have to watch what you have recorded while doing it. Tune your dvd to operate on the same av channel as the tv. Connect a scart lead from the dvd to your tv. You can then play the recording. It will also be received by your dvd recorder. Press the record button and away you go.
