I will be looking to purchase a box shortly for a second TV. I though I'd start this thread to get a list togther of working DTT STB's for Saorview. When I looked at the Powercity website, I thought the price was kinda high. I'd prefer to be paying maybe €50 for an STB, but not near a €100 - I might as well just save a little more for a newer telly with the tuner built in!

The list doesn't have to be local (also interested in online purchasing), but would help.

    1. Powercity
    Walker WP11DTB - €99.95

    It's HD.
    €50 is SD

Look at "Freeview" vs "Freeview HD" prices. The really cheap Tesco "Freeview HD" is £70. Add extra for Irish VAT. Add a little more for a "not Tesco own brand Technika" and you are near the €99.95

    It's about €15 too expensive.

But prices will drop. There will be cheaper boxes by Full launch in May. The Tesco box started at £100.
