Hi, I'm currently looking out for a 4x4. My first time!

    I've found a Nissan Patrol 3.0TD 2001 130000km.

Any tips on what I should look for? It's a short wheel base, really liking it. Anything I should know about Nissan Patrols??

    Cheers

This is probably a bit late. You may have a jeep now. Anyway the nissan patrol is a beast of a jeep. ultra tough and reliable. Im surprised to hear its a SWB. Very rare. SWB would be better off road cos it dosent get stuck on humps. Mine was an automatic. It loved diesel. 95 litres(130 euro at todays prices) to fill the tank and i only got back 380 miles at most. Go for a manual for better economy. I traded it for a manual crewcab 5 years ago and have 5 seats and way better fuel economy for the same tax.(not so easy to tax now. thanks mr. gormaly) But i still miss the patrol:(. It could fairly shift along for the size and weight of it. 2.3 tons....
