    ive got a free travel pass,

    and was wondering can i travel to newry on it?

    never want over the border on the train before.

    No as long as it’s a social welfare pass your on the pigs back - it wont get you first class but you will get up and back - maybe one thing for you to think about - the pass you got from the Irish State yet your going to use that same pass to do the State out of its tax and vat - lol - no look its hard times all round and I understand

    my dad has one and he travels to the north a bit, you have to fill out a form at whatever republic of ireland station you leave from, its a short form asking for your name, address, pass number, signature etc, they will then issue you with a ticket

    much the same if you are going by bus, either the bus driver or the ticket person at the bus station will issue you a ticket

    So if I wanted to travel to Belfast from Connolly on the enterprise, i'd have to fill out the form at Connolly?
