Bit of a let down, I was looking forward to this fight. :(
But on the bright side at least Haye-v-Klitschko is that little bit closer.

Klitschko pulls out, opens way for Haye

The world heavyweight fight between IBF, IBO and WBO champion Vladimir Klitschko and Briton Dereck Chisora has been called off after the Ukrainian was injured in training on Wednesday.

Klitschko's 19th title defence had been scheduled for Saturday in Germany but was scrapped after an injury described by his boxing adviser in the United States as not being particularly serious.
"Wladimir has withdrawn from the fight, that is correct. He has torn a muscle in his back," Shelley Finkel said. "It is not too serious though. He should be able to fight again within 60 days."
Chisora is neither a top-10 ranked contender nor a major box-office attraction and it could mean David Haye will line up against Klitschko when he makes his ring return.
It is reported that Finkel has instructed Richard Schaefer, the chief executive of Golden Boy Promotions, to begin negotiations with Haye on behalf of the Ukrainian.
Schaefer said: "I have spoken to Shelley Finkel and if we can make a Klitschko fight with David Haye we will do that next and if not Wladimir will revert back to fighting Chisora.
"The logical place for the fight is London but we need to speak to HBO to see if the economics stack up to holding the fight in America."
The news is a further blow to Frank Warren's 30th anniversary pay-per-view event which has already seen light-welterweight prospect Frankie Gavin pull out with flu, as well as Nathan Cleverly's opponent Alejandro Lakatos - a replacement for whom has not yet been announced,

Pity the folk who ordered this before the withdrawals.

I was looking forward to this fight, mainly to see how Sky built Wlad up. Was a good opportunity for the casual fan to see him in action before the inevitable Haye fight. I'm sure thats what Sky were hoping for.

No doubt Cleverly will be spoon fed a bum who was an "interim world Latino intercontinental IBO/WBU title challenger" ten years ago :D

The best fight will be Smith and Degale now I reckon, Maidana and Khan will be interesting for 4-5 rounds. Certainly not worth shelling out 20 odd quid for it though.
