    Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the proposed route is for the this race in Renmore in Galway on New Years Day. Was thinking of doing it as my first race, new year, new start as they say. Any help here would be much appreciated.

Thinking of running this as I'm spending New Year in Galway. All depends on how well I behave myself the night before! Are you expecting many in the race?

hmmm, going back & forth with this one. I ran it last year, its 2 loops and not the easiest course.
I'm also running the Fields 10k on the 3rd so I think I may save my energy for that one, and this way I can have a few beers on New Years Eve

Actually I think the fact that the Fields had to be rescheduled could affect the numbers for this race.

The shopping trolley with the ad for this race on the coast rd from Oranmore borders on Criminal.

    Great organisation today, lovely tee-shirts.

I've posted some of my OH's photographs from today. Unfortunately my monthly upload quota has been reached so you'll have to wait until January 15th for me to upload the rest. Enjoy!

Was delighted with this race, well organised by the stewards, traffic was minimal at best and just a general all good atmosphere. Fair play to the organizers!!

Ran this race today very tired and emotional. Great organisation and a nice spread afterwards. Felt alot better afterwards than I did beforehand as well! Thanks.
