Does anyone know how to get insurance in a m3 under 25 years of age , i was lookin online for quotes and no insurance company will even consider it, not even as a named driver !! well not surprising seeing as its in the same iinsurance group as ferrari's :D

but there must be a way around it (apart from buyin a nissan micra with your own policy and insuring the m3 in someone elses name i.e parents)

is there somethin about if you have a business you can put it down as a business car and what would you be likely to pay ? i have a full clean license now for almost 6 years

Ltd company perhaps ? Do you or your folks have one ? If someome will pay BIK on the new price of an M3 convertible, not really a good idea.

What level of driving experience / insurance record have you got? Any penalty points?

Without knowing this it would be very hard to give a proper response.

There is a reason why insurance companies will shy away from letting someone under 25 drive an M3 with them carrying the liability ....

Someone like XS Direct may give you a quote but be prepared to pay top dollar and should you have an accident you will probably have to fork out the first €4-5k out of your own pocket (in otherwords make sure you can actually afford that part as well as the insurance)

Get the golden pages out and call all the brokers aswell.

I would have to say decieving an insurance company by going as a named driver when you are the principle driver isn't a good idea or something I could condone .. plus you are effectivly making a false declaration to an insurance company meaning your policy could become null and void in the event of an accident.

One of my friends has an M3, he's 24 and has has it around two years, to get insurance he had to go to a broker rather than relying on online quotes etc.

simona 1986 - do you mind me asking how much the insurance was and how many years had he/she got a full license at the time of getting the insurance?

Benefit in kind, it goes off the new value of the car, so even on an 06 the BIK would be calculated off the new price :)

Good option, there are places doing part time trader policies now for relatively small money, at 24 it may not be a viable option.
