    Hi,
Looking for some solutions on re-insulating and mould. Basically we built a open plan bungalow with a converted loft area over looking kitchen with a pitched roof. The house is a bit cold and is eating thru oil to keep warm.
    - What would be the options in re-insulting the pitched room (as I think alot of the heat is lost here)
    - who would we talk to advise on this
    - who could do the work
    - what are the possible solutions in re-insulating

We also have a problem with mould as well in some rooms. We tend to close up all the vents (vents on the windows) to retain heat I am wondering is this contributing to this issue.
    - who could we talk to to advise on this

    Thanks in advance

    Contact an architect/civil engineer.
A lot can be done wrong when insulating, demand a dynamic dew point calculation, for example with " wufi " (see www.).

Sadly yes it is . Counter intuitive I know to let expensive heated air escape but you must do so to avoid mould . For a proper long term solution I second HB's advice .
