So a load of secondary schools stayed open during the snow for only 3rd and 6th years, the sneaky f*ckers. While everyone else has to make up for lost time the pr*cks are doing half a job and still get their full summer holidays whilst primary school teachers are gonna be stuck for an extra two weeks in june and everyone else has to work twice as hard in their proper jobs to compensate...bloody ridiculous

Yeah but them lazy Primary school teachers just wind down for the month of June, "Just go out to the yard and play football while I sleep off this cider induced hangover that I got in a den of iniquity last night!"

Oh my word. How could those awful teachers want to make sure students in the middle of an important academic year for them don't fall too far behind because of the bad weather. Burn them all.

Secondary school teachers change it to, "Ye just put your heads down and do your homework while I sleep off......etc etc"

Not every school in Ireland is closed, mine was last week but is open this week although opening at 11 instead of 9.

I don't see what the problem is? Many of the students (mostly leaving including myself) will be glad to be at school and not missing out on the valuble time lost on learning the syllabus, many subjects have a lot to cover. Many schools are probably accessible but they're closed because if a accident did happen there would be uproar.
