Do you mean that the fan doesn't work or that you're only getting cold air?

I'd say there is airlock somewhere. You need to bleed it properly after changing thermostat.

What you should do is go on to zsoc.com and search for a thread similar to this one, a lot of guys have this problem with fiestas I think its the heater control valve that is the fault its pretty cheap and easy to fix

This is the heater control valve, which is a very common failure in these Fiestas. Did you replace it with a new one?

Just had the exact same problem resolved in my audi today.

Thermo done on monday and no heat at low speeds but loads at high, only after change.

Coolant system bled today and all fine now.

    Have the same Van.

I replaced the heater control valave last year when i got similar probs..

If you take out the cable from the heater control valve, does the heater stay on hot only? (Just under the windscreen wipers).

In my case, it did, replaced it and problem was fixed.

Although it seems to take an age to heat up, around 10-15 mins in this very cold weather so im thinking of looking further at the weekend.

Good to hear you have 160K up on it.

    Any major probs with it?
