UPC modem DMZ settings

    Hi all
    i was wondering if anyone using UPC modems has used the DMZ facility to move the Xbox outside of the firewall???
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    You shouldn't need a DMZ if all the appropriate ports are open and forwarded to your Xbox. This worked out of the box for me.

    If you still want to setup a DMZ and put your XBOX inside, it's straight-forward.

    Assuming you have Scientific Atlantic cable modem, which is connected to a Netgear Wireless router. The configuration is done on the Netgear.

    You then assign your xbox an IP address is the DMZ address range.
